Celebrities continue to launch their own fashion lines, meaning more fun and cool clothes for us all.
Kate Moss, Sienna Miller, Gwen Stefani, Victoria Beckham, Mary Kate and Ashley… who wouldn’t want to look like these fashion icons for a day? Luckily, with so many of these style savvy sisters taking their hand to designing, it’s possible to achieve their look for ourselves.
The list of celebrity-turned-designer collections is still growing, with J-Lo’s line for Kohl’s due to launch later this year and Alexa Chung to design a second collection for Madewell, meaning this fashion equation looks set to be a long division!
In fact, Jessica Simpson’s fashion empire is projected to sell for more than a billion dollars this year, which prompted fashion industry bible Women’s Wear Daily to devote a whole issue to Miss Simpson. Talk about star power!
From handbags designed by Mischa Barton, to Jay-Z’s Rocawear and the multiple collections created by the Olsen twins, fashion lines are a great way for us to gain accessibility into a piece of the celebrity lifestyle. Add to this the collaborations with existing brands such as Lily Allen for New Look, and both Kylie Minogue’s swimwear and M by Madonna for H&M, and the results are clear: celebrity + fashion + high street = success for them and fantastic new clothes for us!
